Chad Guzzardo, President - Principal
Chad Guzzardo is a proven leader in the construction industry. Over the last 10 years, he has managed over $553 million in construction throughout the southeast United States and as far west as Colorado. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Louisiana State University, Chad was hired by a "ENR Top 50" contractor in Tampa, Florida specializing in education and healthcare facilities. Returning to Baton Rouge in 2006, Chad has managed some of the city's largest and most high profile projects in the last decade working for Baton Rouge's biggest developers and institutions.
After finding success in the corporate realm, Chad determined the next step in his career was to fuel his entrepreneurial spirit and create his own commercial construction firm. His initial goal was to offer high quality construction management services to developers in the Baton Rouge area. Since the creation of Centurion Construction Management, Chad has achieved that goal as well as establish Centurion as a premiere General Contractor in south Louisiana. Chad has maintained his solid reputation in providing safe environments for his employees and subcontractors, demanding quality, timely completion and cost effective projects for his clients.
Chad is a 2012 graduate of both the Community Leadership Program sponsored by the Baton Rouge Area Chamber and Barton Leadership Program. He sits on the Board of Directors for many local Non-Profit organizations and is heavily involved with local programs focused on providing a better environment and education for children.
Scott Zeringue, Vice President of Operations - Principal
Scott Zeringue joined the Centurion team in December 2017. Scott is a graduate of Louisiana State University and received his bachelor degree in construction engineering. Scott brings over 28 years experience in engineering, fabrication, construction and strategic operations management know how. Scott is a key asset to the future of Centurion, bringing his experience and ability from leading and directling many projects and initiatives to advance engineering, fabrication, construction and maintenance operations for Fortune 500 Companies.
Scott has been an integral part in establishing a new vision for Centurion Construction Management. Throughout his engineering and construction career he has managed projects and drove effective teams in executing multi-million dollar projects for the Corp of Engineers, Federal and State Governments, Major Oil and Gas Companies, Chemical and Plastics Plants as well as Gas-fired, Fossil and Nuclear Power Facilities throughout the United States and China.
Scott is a life time resident of Baton Rouge. He serves on several charitable organization committees and dedicates his time and talents in support of the local community and people of south Louisiana. He serves as a life coach and as a consultant to companies and corporations along the Gulf Coast.
Matt Newman, Project Manager
Matt Newman obtained a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Louisiana State University, upon graduating began working for one of the Baton Rouge areas leading general contractors where over the past 12 years he has earned his knowledge in construction with hands on experience in all aspects of construction from estimating to project management to field supervision.
He has completed construction projects in many sectors including Education, Medical, Retail, Food Service, Call Centers, and Industrial. Currently, Matt is responsible for design-build execution, project constructibility and commodity buyouts. As project manager he is responsible for planning, coordinating, managing, and monitoring all aspects of the project.
Jonathan Stewart, Superintendent
Jonathan Stewart received his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Louisiana State University. He brings 15 years of construction experience to the Centurion team. Jonathan was drawn to the industry gaining experience in civil engineering and construction making him a highly sought after project leader. With his experience and attention to detail, he furthered his career through the building of residential homes and large scale commercial projects.
As superintendent at Centurion Construction Management he is responsible for coordinating all activities of various trades and subcontractors. He ensures all activities are completed on time and within budget. He is OSHA certified and responsible for overall site safety and QA/QC.
Ross Dupre' - Director of Pre-Construction
Ross Dupre’ graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management. Upon graduating Ross began working for a major construction firm in Baton Rouge. He developed his skills and experience in the estimating, planning and constructing Education, Medical, Retail, Industrial and Institutional facility projects.
Over the past 20 years he earned his reputation in the construction industry through his hard work and dedication, estimating, project management to field supervision. Mr. Dupre’ is a key member of Centurion and is responsible for estimating and managing the bid process, including conceptual estimates for design-build proposals, project budgets, development analysis, value engineering and commodity buyout.
